Chicago PD season 5 midseason premiere synopsis: Rabbit Hole
Jay Halstead gets mixed up in a murder in the Chicago PD midseason premiere. Here’s the official Chicago PD season 5, episode 10 synopsis.
Wednesday brings the return of Chicago PD, but fans will need to worry about not one but two of the show’s main characters, according to the synopsis that NBC has distributed for the midseason premiere.
Season 5, Episode 10 is called “Rabbit Hole,” and even though the season left off with audiences concerned for the fate of Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), the episode is not focused on him. It actually has to do with Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), who has spent the time between episodes getting drunk and partying with his new girlfriend.
You know what that means: Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) is going to have to step in and lay down the law with not one, but two of his detectives in this episode. Will Voight be able to straighten up both Ruzek and Halstead by the end? Or will Chicago PD pick up with two wayward cops and thus even more ammunition for Voight’s frenemy Denny Woods?
Things could get very thorny when we get back to the unit, so be sure you’re tuned in Wednesday to see who survives, who picks up the pieces, and who might just fall on their face.
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"Halstead’s partying with Camila unintentionally puts him in the middle of a drug-related homicide. He’s forced to choose between loyalty to his unit and his girl. Meanwhile, Voight finally discovers the mole in his unit."
The network has not released a “Rabbit Hole” promo officially, but they did put up a video that recaps the first part of season 5 if you need to watch that:
