The return of Chicago Fire is only two days away, and on Thursday fans will find out whether or not Gabriela Dawson’s father Ramon has survived being stabbed—but that’s just the start of the drama!

The midseason premiere picks up where NBC had Chicago Fire season 6 leave off, with Dawson (Monica Raymund) discovering that her father (guest star Daniel Zacapa) had been attacked. In Thursday’s episode, “A Man’s Legacy,” Ramon’s fate rests in the hands of Dawson and her partner Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer).

Meanwhile, Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) has another case hit close to home, and the rest of the Firehouse 51 gang gears up for the official arrival of Molly’s North. But if it’s at all like how business at Molly’s has gone before, it’s going to be crazy! Chicago Fire is back with both the serious and not so serious storylines, so fans will want to hold onto their seats and see if anyone gets a happy ending.

"Brett attempts to make a lifesaving decision in the field to someone near and dear to the firehouse family. In an effort to impress Lily, Otis scrambles to get everything together for the grand opening of Molly’s North.Meanwhile, Boden becomes emotional following the rescue of a famous blues player from a burning apartment building and Dawson struggles to come to terms with how she has been dealing with her father."
