Chicago Med season 3, episode 7 synopsis and promo: Over Troubled Water
Goodwin’s ex-husband returns to Chicago Med while two doctors bury the hatchet (maybe). Here’s the Chicago Med season 3, episode 6 synopsis and teaser.
Sharon Goodwin will get another blast from the past in Tuesday’s new Chicago Med, so get ready for the next episode with NBC’s official description and promo.
Season 3, Episode 6 is called “Over Troubled Water” (as in, bridge over troubled water) and one of the subplots involves Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson). Her ex-husband Bert (guest star Greg Williams), who was last seen in the season 2 episode “CTRL ALT”, comes back for more advice regarding his girlfriend Lyla’s (guest star Garcelle Beauvais) illness that Goodwin helped with before.
We’ll have to see if things are as awkward between them the second time around. Because it’s always a good time when your ex-husband comes to you for help with the woman he started seeing after you.
This episode might also have a turning point in the contentious relationship between Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Dr. Ava Bekker (Norma Kuhling) after the two have to leave the hospital on a field call together. That’s the same scenario that gave us a great episode between Connor and Dr. Isidore Latham (Ato Essandoh) last season, so will it work again here? Could these two finally learn to get along?
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"Dr. Charles feels pressure when Dr. Choi and Dr. Manning criticize his medical decision regarding an ill newborn baby. Dr. Rhodes comes to terms with his relationship issues. Goodwin helps Bert understand Lyla’s sickness."
