This week’s Chicago PD episode is bad news for Kevin Atwater, so how much will the show put him through the wringer? Get your early clues about Wednesday’s episode with NBC‘s official description and promo.

Season 5, Episode 12 is called “Captive,” and the reason why is pretty simple. Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) goes missing, and he was last seen at the home of a known felon. Why was he there? Why did he go alone? And where the heck is he?

While Intelligence does their best to get Atwater back home safe, we’ll undoubtedly learn more about how he got there and more about him, too. There’s certainly something going on there that we don’t know about, but then again, you could say that about several other characters this season.

This is a rough episode for LaRoyce Hawkins’ character, but when you consider that last season he almost got sent to prison for manslaughter, maybe this is just par for the course when it comes to Atwater’s recent history. Here’s to hoping that Chicago PD doesn’t make things too terrible for him on Wednesday.
