Here’s when Chicago Justice’s Philip Winchester will start on Law & Order: SVU, and your first look at Peter Stone in his SVU season 19 debut!

We now know when Philip Winchester is coming back to court—and we have your first photos of Peter Stone on Law & Order: SVU!

NBC has confirmed to One Chicago Center when Winchester’s first episode of Law & Order: SVU will air. His debut is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

In the episode, which is called “The Undiscovered Country,” Winchester’s Chicago Justice character Peter Stone will have moved from Chicago to New York—his home state and where his father Ben Stone was an Executive Assistant District Attorney.

But in our exclusive first look photos from the episode, Stone is getting some face time not with his dad, but with another former EADA: Jack McCoy, played by the legendary Sam Waterston! How cool is that? Take a look below and keep reading for more info:

While you’ll have to wait until Feb. 7 to see what role Peter Stone has to play in the episode, and how he and Jack McCoy wind up crossing paths, you can expect a tougher (is that even possible?!) Stone when we see him on SVU.

Per former Chicago Justice and current Law & Order: SVU showrunner Michael Chernuchin, we’ll find out that Peter Stone will butt heads with SVU‘s Assistant District Attorney Rafael Barba (as played by Raul Esparza). The original idea that Stone will oversee Barba as Bureau Chief ADA has not been mentioned again so they could be equals or not, but as District Attorney, it’d be McCoy’s job to lay down the law with both of them.

But “The Undiscovered Country” starts an exciting new chapter for Peter Stone fans. Shortly after the cancellation of Chicago Justice, Dick Wolf struck a deal for Philip Winchester to recur in SVU season 19.

Winchester also reprised the role in the Chicago Med season 3 premiere. And while that does leave the door open for him to come back to Chicago, for now he’ll be stirring things up in New York.

We don’t know exactly how many SVU season 19 episodes Philip Winchester will be seen in, but now we know he’s starting in just over a week. And mark your calendars for Feb. 7, because with Philip Winchester and Sam Waterston in the same scenes, this is must-see TV.
