5 One Chicago characters we’d vote for as President
Trudy Platt, Chicago PD
If Chicago PD‘s Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) was elected President, no other country would ever mess with us, ever again. Think about it, do you want to be on her bad side? Does anyone in One Chicago? No, and heck no.
Platt is someone else who comes to the One Chicago Presidential ballot with a lot of leadership experience. She’s been the desk sergeant at the District for a long time, and been a police officer for even longer than that. Platt knows the District, its officers and what goes on within its walls better than anyone.
We know she would have that same sharp eye and iron fist if she were made President of the United States. Nothing would ever get by her, and she certainly wouldn’t suffer any fools or any political double-speak. Everyone in her administration would be held to her very high standards and if they slipped up, she’d tell them so.
But at the same time, Platt has demonstrated a huge heart when it comes to citizens in need, whether it’s kids who get pulled into Intelligence’s cases, the guy who lost his dog, or even the one victim no one else could quite remember. We know she’d have that same caring as President, and look out for as many people as she could.
Perhaps the best part of Trudy Platt’s presidency would mean that would make her husband Randall “Mouch” McHolland (Christian Stolte) the First Man. Who wouldn’t want to see a Trudy and Mouch in the White House show? We smell spinoff.
