Antonio Dawson, Chicago PD

If the One Chicago vote for President was decided purely on popularity, Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) would win hands down. He was the only character unanimously on every ballot in last year’s One Chicago All-Star Team voting, and so far we haven’t found a single One Chicago fan who doesn’t like Antonio.

But it’s not just his popularity that has us considering him as a Presidential candidate. There’s nobody in the whole One Chicago fandom that has more experience than Antonio, since he’s the only character who’s been a regular on two One Chicago shows (Chicago PD and Chicago Justice) and recurring on a third (Chicago Fire). He’s pretty much been everywhere. And that includes his work experience, because we know he’s worked in Intelligence, in Narcotics, and for the State’s Attorney. This guy has a lot of skills from a lot of places.

That also means he has a lot of connections that he could use to get things done, whether it’s enlisting the help of a fellow politician like Mark Jefferies (Carl Weathers) or asking any of his coworkers for assistance. He’s also able to see the big picture now, using his experience from his State’s Investigator work to know more about what’s legal and what’s not. He’s kind of like the Swiss Army Knife of One Chicago.

The question we have with an Antonio Dawson presidency is who would be his Vice President? Could you imagine if he ran on the same ticket with his sister Gabriela (Monica Raymund)? That would be a very interesting combination in the White House. We’d just have to hope their dad didn’t show up to cause any more trouble.
