1. Matthew Casey and Kelly Severide, Chicago Fire

The Amazing Race 30 had a team of firefighters, so why not bring our own team of firefighters to the show? And when we think of Chicago Fire, we automatically think of Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney). They’re One Chicago’s original dynamic duo.

The same qualities that make Casey and Severide work on Chicago Fire are what would make them work on The Amazing Race. They can collaborate together as a team under the most high-pressure situations; when your day job is running into burning buildings and jumping off the roof into a river, racing around the world probably feels like a walk in the park.

Along those same lines, they’d have the physicality and the fearlessness to tackle some of the show’s more outlandish challenges. Need to haul a bunch of beer kegs from Point A to Point B? They’ve moved heavier stuff before. Have to zip line across a massive canyon to get their next clue? You won’t see them freaking out about being in mid-air. We’re not so sure how they feel about scorpions, but most of this shouldn’t bother them that much.

And from a TV standpoint, Casey and Severide are a classic Amazing Race pairing. They’re the friends who wind up bickering with each other when they can’t agree over how to get something done, but somehow make up by the end of the episode. How many times have we seen that on Chicago Fire?
