With Chicago Fire heating up Kelly Severide’s love life once again, we’re looking back at the very long romantic history of Taylor Kinney’s character.
A recurring theme on Chicago Fire for Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) has been his seemingly never-ending parade of relationships and flings with different women. We’ve been on the roller coaster of love, lust and loss with Severide for 6 seasons now, and every time we think Kelly may finally be making some good decisions, something invariably goes awry.
Chicago Fire fans have watched Severide go through everything that a TV character could in the romance department: shallow hook-ups, a broken engagement, a surprise marriage, a girlfriend’s death and more. And his romantic turmoil is about to become a hot topic on Chicago Fire once again.
Just when it looks like there may be hope for the slow burning flame between Severide and his BFF slash rooommate Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) to ignite, Stella’s boyfriend Zach (Daniel Di Tomasso) wants her to meet his family, and it’s been confirmed that Severide’s ex-girlfriend Renee Royce (Sarah Shahi) will walk back into his life by the end of Chicago Fire season 6.
Is Severide finally ready to fully commit to the long game and keep his focus on a potential relationship with Stella, or will he jump ship and test the waters in familiar territory whenever Renee shows up and bats her eyelashes at him again?
