Chicago PD season 5, episode 18 synopsis and promo: Ghosts
Chicago PD reveals Hailey Upton’s undercover past this week. Here’s the official Chicago PD season 5, episode 18 synopsis and teaser.
The next Chicago PD will answer one of fans’ big questions—so get your first clues about what’s coming with NBC‘s official description and promo for Wednesday’s episode.
Wednesday’s installment is called “Ghosts” and is poised to finally tell the audience what was up with Hailey Upton’s (Tracy Spiridakos) undercover operation, that she mentioned when she came to Intelligence in Chicago PD season 4 but couldn’t give details on. In this episode, that undercover gig comes back to haunt her, hence the title. Upton has to dig back into her past to stop a bad guy but she’s got an axe to grind. Will she get revenge? Could she go too far? Will we learn more about her like we’ve wanted to all season?
Meanwhile, this episode also picks up where the show left off last week, with Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) needing to find a way to get Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas), and thus himself, off the hook. It may be possible or it could get them both in trouble. So maybe everyone here has ghosts that they get to deal with this Wednesday. But you won’t want to miss this episode on either count, because it’s all coming to a head here.
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"Upton brings back an old undercover identity to help take down a meth ring spearheaded by a former criminal contact. And with pressure from Woods mounting, Voight calls in a favor for Olinsky."
And here’s the “Ghosts” promo that’s been airing ahead of the episode:
