Chicago Med season 3, episode 14 synopsis and promo: Lock It Down

Chicago Med goes into lockdown this week, throwing the hospital into crisis. Here’s the official Chicago Med season 3, episode 14 synopsis and teaser.

This week’s Chicago Med is one-part medical drama, one-part straight-up drama, according to NBC‘s official description and promo for Tuesday’s upcoming episode.

Tuesday’s installment is called “Lock It Down” because the entire hospital goes into lockdown once the staff discovers that a patient’s baby has been stolen. Closing the whole building to try and find both the child and the kidnapper, Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) enlists our psych team to help her in the hunt.

But the lockdown also causes problems when it comes to the actual treating of patients. It’s a big headache particularly in the cardiothoracic surgery department, as Dr. Connor Rhodes has to play action hero to get into his OR. Colin Donnell teased this episode in our recent interview, and from his comments it sounds like Connor will have a gangbusters outing.

Can he, or any of his fellow doctors, still get their cases closed while they can’t even move through the hospital? And who took the baby and why? This could be like last season’s “CTRL ALT” only worse.

Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:

"After a baby is abducted from Med, Goodwin enlists the help of Dr. Charles and Dr. Reese to find the suspect. Due to the lockdown, Dr. Rhodes must figure out a way to get into the operating room to help perform open-heart surgery. Dr. Manning and Dr. Halstead disagree on the right treatment for a patient."
