The next Chicago PD will delve into familiar territory, according to NBC‘s official description and promo for Wednesday’s episode.

Wednesday’s installment is called “Payback” and it deals with two topics that fans will be very familiar with: drug dealers, and corrupt cops. The two things are one and the same in this week’s case, which ought to keep the Intelligence Unit on their toes. They’ve had their fair share of cops gone bad, and these episodes usually don’t end well either.

At the same time, the season-long subplot will continue, with Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) coming face to face with the witness who is incriminating Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) in the death of the man who killed Justin Voight. How did he identify and find the witness in the first place, and what’s he going to do next? Because given who we’re talking about, he’s not just showing up to say hello.

With just a few episodes left in the season, “Payback” could be a, well, you know how the saying goes. You’ll want to be tuned in Wednesday to see how these two storylines work out and if it’s one step closer to Chicago PD getting Olinsky, and Voight, into a world of trouble.
