Chicago PD season 5, episode 20 synopsis and promo: Saved
Chicago PD puts Alvin Olinsky one step away from a murder trial next week. Here’s the official Chicago PD season 5, episode 20 synopsis and teaser.
The next Chicago PD pushes Alvin Olinsky to the brink of going from cop to criminal, according to NBC‘s official description of Wednesday’s episode.
Wednesday’s installment is called “Saved” but Olinsky (Elias Koteas) may not be. Despite all of Hank Voight’s (Jason Beghe) efforts, the State’s Attorney has empaneled a grand jury for their case against Olinsky, meaning the next thing that happens is a murder indictment. Will the show end its season with Olinsky on trial for a crime he didn’t commit?
Meanwhile, there’s still a case of the week to deal with, and that has a tie to Voight’s past as well. It sounds like Voight needs to get his stuff together, and fast, because everything happening in the next episode has to do with him in some way. And it looks like everyone involved is going to be in a world of hurt unless Voight figures out a solution. Maybe after five seasons, we’ve finally found something that Hank Voight can’t overcome. That’s a pretty scary thought, isn’t it?
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"After Voight witnesses the kidnapping of a young woman with a mysterious connection to his past, Intelligence works to find a connection between her kidnapping and several bank robberies. Ruzek gets a tip that a grand jury has been summoned, putting Olinsky one step closer to standing trial for Bingham’s murder."
