Chicago Med might have a thief inside the hospital this week. Here’s the official Chicago Med season 3, episode 19 synopsis and promo.
Tuesday’s installment is called “Crisis of Confidence” and there may be a crisis in the Emergency Department when April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) discovers that somebody took advantage of the open medication room last week to help themselves to some painkillers. Without fingerprint ID’s to determine who it was, April sets out to identify the thief—so who will she find? And what will happen when she does? After all, theft won’t look good in front of that snippy hospital board.
Elsewhere, our cardiothoracic surgery team is butting heads again. That’s at least better than the last subplot they had, but it does seem like there’s a fight upstairs every other week. When will Dr. Isidore Latham (recurring guest star Ato Essandoh) put one or both of these two in the corner? It’s going to be a tense week around the building. But with a short period of time before the season ends, we’d expect nothing less.
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"Dr. Manning rushes to save a young boy who has a life-threatening case of the flu. After discovering that opioid pain killers were stolen during last week’s mass casualty, April believes Dr. Choi’s sister took them. Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Bekker disagree over the best treatment for a cardiac patient who is 21 weeks pregnant."
