Chicago Fire season finale synopsis and promo: The Grand Gesture
The Chicago Fire season finale is a two-hour event. Here’s the official Chicago Fire season 6, episode 22 and episode 23 synopsis and teaser.
This week gives us not one but two hours of Chicago Fire as the season ends, so here’s NBC‘s official descriptions for the Chicago Fire season finale event.
Thursday’s episodes have fitting titles for the last two of the season: they’re called “One For The Ages” and “The Grand Gesture.” The network is airing both episodes back to back on Thursday as a super-sized way to wrap up the season, and as such, you can expect big things to happen in all of the stories that were laid out last week.
While one member of Firehouse 51 plots for a future that may take him outside the firehouse, Renee Royce (Sarah Shahi) is still around to cause trouble in Kelly Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) life and of course, there’s another huge call that puts the lives of some of our characters at risk. It’s everything you’ve come to expect.
Here’s how NBC describes both episodes:
"Boden takes a big step in the pursuit of a major career decision. Kidd becomes increasingly distrustful of Renee’s motives with Severide. Herrmann has trouble bouncing back after a tragedy.Boden’s chances for a promotion are met with potential complications, leading him to take matters into his own hands. Dawson and Casey don’t see eye to eye on an important decision, while Kidd finds herself struggling to find time with Severide. Brett and Dawson respond to a tough call that quickly turns dangerous."
And here’s the “One For The Ages/The Grand Gesture” promo that’s been airing ahead of the episodes:
