NBC has put Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med all on Wednesdays next fall, and we have a lot of questions about the new One Chicago night.

One Chicago Fans got a huge surprise this weekend, when NBC released its 2018-2019 fall TV schedule ahead of today’s upfront presentation. The network has decided that it will show all three One Chicago series on Wednesday nights this fall.

At first blush, the idea of a “One Chicago Night” sounds awesome. Having Chicago Fire and Chicago PD and Chicago Med all together in one place? The ability to watch all of our favorite shows in one evening without having to wait? That seems like a dream come true for our fandom. But the more we think about it, the more we realize that it’s not as simple as we (or the network) would like it to be.

NBC may have created a whole new programming block by moving Fire, PD and Med together and it may indeed wind up being awesome, but uniting the One Chicago franchise under one line on the schedule also creates several questions and potential concerns, too. There are both pros and cons to Sunday’s schedule news, and so we’re going through the five biggest ones in an attempt to make this surprise make some more sense for fans.

Click through this slideshow as we look at the five questions we have about NBC’s new One Chicago schedule, and let us know what your thoughts are about next season’s plans in the comments at the end of this article. If nothing else, we know well in advance that we all have plans on Wednesdays starting in September!
