Yes: They make a good team

For all their differences, at the end of the day it’s patently obvious that Manstead belong together. Both in the sense that the characters make a certain team, and in that Chicago Med wants them to be together. So Natalie accepting Will’s marriage proposal would just be continuing down the path that’s pretty much inevitable.

A good 80 percent of the cases that Will and Natalie handle on Chicago Med are cases that they work on together. As such, they’ve learned how to collaborate; they may disagree a heck of a lot, but they do coexist efficiently and they complement each other well. Now that Will has calmed down from his first-season impulsiveness, he helps to balance out Natalie’s more emotional way of thinking. Natalie, in turn, pushes Will to take more risks. And though they fight, at least it’s because they both care.

And ultimately, the people who will make the final decision on whether Natalie accepts Will’s proposal or not are the writers, and it’s clear the writers see them as one unit. Will and Natalie are to Chicago Med what Matthew Casey and Gabriela Dawson are to Chicago Fire; they’re the show’s primary ship that it hangs its hat on, and as such a lot of their plots are with them together. The writers want Manstead, and so it would be no surprise if they go for what they ultimately want, which is Manstead living happily ever after.

There’s one thing worth keeping in mind, though: what happens after they get married? Where does the show take Manstead from there? That’ll be a question to ask in season 4, but we just can’t see Chicago Med resisting the temptation of going for another big ship moment by giving us a Manstead engagement. We think they’ll give Natalie a reason to say yes.
