RELATIONSHIP STATUS: ROCKY

Status update: The newest One Chicago ship, or at least its very emphatic attempt at one. From the first episode in which Dr. Ava Bekker (Norma Kuhling) was introduced, she was making some flirty comments toward Connor, even though he was worried about an ill Robin in the very same episode!

So it was absolutely no surprise when Chicago Med season 3 wrote Robin out and pushed Ava in. The two shared an impulsive kiss that ranks amongst the One Chicago season’s most random moments, before going back to Connor’s apartment and having sex. What happened after that one-night stand, though, was a total mess.

She wanted to get together; he had plans, then tried to cancel them only for her to tell him it was too late. They fought, a lot. His father Cornelius (D.W. Moffett) hit on her, which creeped us out but just made Connor jealous. Yet he didn’t actually do anything about it, and the season ended with Ava accusing him of orchestrating things to advance his career. So romantic, isn’t it?

Connor and Ava are not currently a couple, and frankly with the way she’s treated him and he keeps taking it, we’re not convinced that they should be. But we’ve got them on this list anyway because Chicago Med wants them to be, and so we expect that Chicago Med season 4 is going to go right back to this ship. Just how long will it last though?
