When does Chicago Med season 4 premiere? Find out the Chicago Med season 4 premiere date and when the new season of Chicago Med will start.

When does Chicago Med season 4 premiere? NBC has officially announced when the hospital will be opening its doors again this fall, but it’s completely different from when fans checked in during this season.

Not only has the show thankfully rejoined NBC’s fall schedule after a season being pushed back to the midseason roster, but it’s now airing on a different day and at a different time.

The Chicago Med season 4 premiere will be Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.

That’s almost two months earlier than the most recent season premiere, which was on Nov. 21 after NBC held the series back until midseason.

It’s also a day later in the week, moving from Tuesday nights to Wednesday nights. And we’ll be seeing April Sexton and the rest of the staff a whole two hours ahead of schedule, as they shift from 10:00 p.m. up to the new Chicago Med time slot.

That means Chicago Med will be leading off NBC’s primetime schedule on Wednesday nights. It replaces The Blacklist, which in itself replaced Blindspot, so we’ll find out if it’s able to stay there and provide some stability for the network on its new night and time.

If you’ve got your DVR set up for series recording, though, you’ll have to completely reprogram it before September. And hopefully the 8:00 p.m. start time won’t be too early for some viewers, if they’re working late or having dinner.

But at least Chicago Med is returning to the fall schedule after it took over for Chicago Fire in the Tuesday evening block, and now it’ll be the first One Chicago show we see every week.
