Chicago PD season 5 was the show’s most busy season, but which were the best Chicago PD episodes this season? We’ve ranked Chicago PD’s top five.

With Chicago PD season 5 now in the history books, it’s time for our annual look back at the season that was as we try to find the episodes from the season that impressed us the most.

The fifth season had more going on in it than any previous season, both in front of and behind the camera. The series introduced Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) as a series regular, promoting her to main cast after she recurred last season. Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) was brought back into the ensemble following the cancellation of Chicago Justice.

And under new showrunner Rick Eid, PD instituted a story arc that ran throughout the entire 22 episodes. Those 22 episodes featured an ongoing battle between Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and his old partner turned nemesis Denny Woods (Mykelti Williamson), while the rest of Intelligence dealt with breakups, betrayals, a suicide and a murder. It was an overly dramatic season, but how did its episodes stack up? Which ones wound up at the top of the list?
