One Chicago characters most likely to survive a Sharknado
Chicago Med: Dr. Ethan Choi
In case of a sharknado, we’d entrust our lives to Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee). While many of the doctors from Chicago Med would have the guts to battle sharks, Choi has previous experience working with large animals.
We learned in Chicago Med season 2’s “Graveyard Shift” that he works as a volunteer at the zoo, and he was able to perform life-saving surgery on a panda with the help of Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell). Sharks are a far cry from pandas, but perhaps he’s learned something from his volunteer work that might be applicable. Maybe he could tranquilize the sharks? Figure out why they’re so angry and want to eat people?
Choi is also a great pick because of the entire hospital staff, he’s shown the best approach during a crisis situation. He’s able to remain calm, even when things are at their most dire, and to not let his emotions get the better of him when he needs to focus on the task at hand. No matter how crazy the sharknado gets, he’ll be level-headed and lead our team to safety.
He also has a remarkable ability to see the big picture. It was Choi who came up with Chicago Med’s new mass casualty plan in the Chicago Med season 3 episode “This Is Now” and helped the hospital handle the influx of patients from a mass shooting. We have faith that he’d be able to come up with a similar solution for our shark problem.
That’s critical given that the Sharknado movies have involved some real head-scratchers like sharks in space and, in Sharknado 6, time travel. No matter what bizarre scenario emerges, Choi would have the ability to figure it out.
