One Chicago characters most likely to survive a Sharknado
Chicago PD: Hank Voight
There’s no way Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) isn’t the top choice in the entire One Chicago fandom to battle a sharknado. Voight’s most distinctive characteristic is that he’s a survivor. As long as we’ve known him, he’s been getting himself and those around him out of trouble.
He spent Chicago PD season 5 trying every way to get himself and Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) off the hook, whether it was almost destroying a witness’s life or trying to call in a favor with a judge. Voight deserved to be arrested but he plotted, intimidated and bargained to avoid it, only turning himself in when he knew Olinsky was in dire straits.
Voight is utterly ruthless. He might have mellowed just a little bit on Chicago PD, but remember that this was the man introduced threatening Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) on Chicago Fire. He has shot a suspect in cold blood in “Homecoming” and also enabled another suspect being killed in “Promise” and that was just this season.
He’s not afraid to get his hands dirty to accomplish his goal, and that may be necessary when you factor in Sharknado‘s ever-increasing stakes. This is the franchise that destroyed the entire planet in Sharknado 5.
But Hank Voight wouldn’t care about the sharks. Hank Voight has never been shaken by any bad guy that’s crossed his path. He’d just go out there and intimidate the sharks into giving up, and if they didn’t listen, then he’d start breaking fins.
The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time airs Sunday, Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. on SyFy. Which One Chicago character would you trust to save you from a sharknado? Tell us in the comments!
