This One Chicago puppy video is the cutest thing ever

Everyone loves One Chicago. Everyone loves puppies. Putting One Chicago stars together with puppies? Instant classic.

The fine folks at Dick Wolf‘s production company Wolf Films have put together a new video to help get fans excited for the upcoming season—but rather than making another sizzle reel or explosive promo, they’re making things warm and fuzzy. Literally.

Chicago Fire‘s Miranda Rae Mayo, Chicago Med‘s Yaya DaCosta, and Chicago PD stars Jesse Lee Soffer and Jason Beghe are featured in the piece, as a casting director asks the four actors to help “audition” some dogs for the new season.

Inordinate amounts of cuteness ensue.

Chicago PD fans will get a kick out of Jason Beghe practicing Hank Voight’s interrogation act on a puppy that couldn’t care less, but the real scene-stealer in the video is Jesse Lee Soffer. Not only does he get in a dig at co-star Patrick John Flueger, but watch for the glimpse of him getting in a quick nap with his new furry friends.

Plus, Miranda Rae Mayo gives some sage advice to her canine companion about what it takes to work at Firehouse 51.

The video is positively adorable, but also it’s positively fitting, as many of the One Chicago actors and actresses are animal enthusiasts. So not only do the fans get to look at cute dogs and have a good laugh, but considering how much puppy love goes around in Chicago, this is exactly how to get the new season started.
