Before Chicago Med season 4 begins on Sept. 26, we’re previewing the new season specifically for each main character. Where did they leave off last season, what ought to happen with them in the new season, and what is most likely going to happen next?

Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) continues to hold down the fort in the emergency department. After he rose to the occasion as the hospital’s chief resident during the second season, he continues to be the hospital’s coolest customer. Whether it’s calming down an upset patient, or coming up with a new mass casualty plan on the fly during an emergency, Choi always seems to know what to do in the most difficult situations.

However, that doesn’t mean he can’t be tested. As audiences have learned more about his life out of the hospital, there have been some obvious speed bumps and disappointments, and he’s been left to pick up the pieces in more ways than one. So will he finally solve the puzzle anytime during Chicago Med season 4?
