What does Chicago Fire season 7 have in store for Otis? Before the new Chicago Fire season, look ahead for Yuri Sardarov’s character.

Before Chicago Fire season 7 begins on Sept. 26, we’re previewing the new season specifically for each main character. Where did they leave off last season, what ought to happen with them in the new season, and what is most likely going to happen next?

Brian “Otis” Zvonecek (Yuri Sardarov) made a comfortable niche for himself at Firehouse 51, as the guy who got to drive the truck and the guy most likely to provide Chicago Fire‘s comic relief. The only thing bigger than Otis’s crazy ideas is his heart, and whether he is coming up with the next brilliant concept to improve Firehouse 51 or change the fortunes of Molly’s Bar, he’s been at the center of some of the show’s funniest and oddest storylines.

Yet recently we’ve seen his character also take a more serious turn. While Otis has always been able to get serious when necessary, some of the latest developments in his life have really taken his life in another direction. So which version of Otis will we see in the seventh season? The funny one or the serious one, or some combination of the two?
