April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) may technically be outranked by Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett), but she’s established herself as an experienced and savvy nurse in her own right. April has proven to be fiercely devoted to her patients, willing to speak her mind—even if it’s speaking up against a decision that she doesn’t agree with—and passionate about the hospital as a whole.

Yet four years on, it still feels like she has farther to go both professionally and personally. April is a character with a number of close relationships in the One Chicago universe, and as Maggie has her story develop, certainly April’s character arc can grow as well, right? Is the upcoming season where we’ll see April get a bigger piece of the spotlight?
