What does Chicago Med season 4 have in store for Daniel Charles? Before the new Chicago Med season, look ahead for Oliver Platt’s character.

Before Chicago Med season 4 begins on Sept. 26, we’re previewing the new season specifically for each main character. Where did they leave off last season, what ought to happen with them in the new season, and what is most likely going to happen next?

Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) is the show’s chief psychiatrist and last season, continued to have a lot going on in his head. After surviving being shot by an upset patient in the hospital parking lot at the end of Chicago Med season 2, Charles had to take care of not only himself but his protege.

Charles helped Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel DiPillo) deal with how she was affected by his being shot, then found himself faced with a whole other Reese-related problem when her father came back into the picture.

And for most of the second portion of Chicago Med‘s third season, Charles ended up squaring off with Robert Haywood (recurring guest star Michel Gill) in the show’s most strange subplot. Then it went and culminated in another cliffhanger ending. So how will that one resolve, and where will we find Charles next?
