Before Chicago Fire season 7 begins on Sept. 26, we’re previewing the new season specifically for each main character. Where did they leave off last season, what ought to happen with them in the new season, and what is most likely going to happen next?

Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) had one of the busiest seasons he’s ever had in season 6. His love life was again a major part of the show, as Severide had a very questionable fling, plus the return of his first love interest in series history, and finally got back together with Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo).

Plus, professionally Severide had to deal with the return of his one-time mentor Carl Grissom (recurring guest star Gary Cole), and how Grissom was determined to push Severide up the ranks in the fire department. Severide’s disinterest in being promoted, coupled with some other issues, turned Grissom from a friend into an enemy.

Oh, and did we mention Severide’s family showed up, too? It was a wild season—so what could possibly happen next?
