Chicago Fire season 7 character preview: Joe Cruz
What does Chicago Fire season 7 have in store for Joe Cruz? Before the new Chicago Fire season, look ahead for Joe Minoso’s character.
Before Chicago Fire season 7 begins on Sept. 26, we’re previewing the new season specifically for each main character. Where did they leave off last season, what ought to happen with them in the new season, and what is most likely going to happen next?
Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) is one of the supporting characters at Firehouse 51, most often used for a variety of comic relief situations, which usually but not always involve his best friend Brian “Otis” Zvonecek (Yuri Sardarov). Whenever one of them comes up with a wild idea, the other is there to help them, or maybe mess with them a little bit.
That’s not to say Cruz is all laughs. He’s there to lend a hand every time there’s a fire call, and he has played a significant part in a couple of dramatic storylines—most recently last season when Chicago Fire decided to shoot Otis. That brought out a very dark side of Cruz. Will fans see more of that in the new season, or will he be back to the Cruz they’ve gotten used to seeing?
