What will happen

When Chicago PD season 6 begins, it’s still going to be fairly soon after last season’s finale, since fans still have to find out what happened with the review board meeting. Therefore, expect that Antonio will still be upset with Voight—and that other characters might be upset with Antonio, since loyalty is the paramount virtue of the Intelligence Unit.

But Antonio isn’t going anywhere (again) and neither is Voight, so while they will continue to butt heads, they should eventually make some sort of peace with one another. They have to, because the team—and the show—needs both of them. And Voight isn’t likely to change, so expect that Antonio will more or less fall in line for the greater good of the team, even if it’s begrudgingly.

Most of the developments in his personal life have taken place on Chicago Fire, and with Brett busy getting used to a new partner on Ambulance 61, don’t expect Brettonio to make another comeback this season. As far as Chicago PD goes, the most we’re likely to see is Antonio doing some parenting.

Antonio has been through a lot and seen even more, given that before he was in Intelligence, he seems to have served in half the Chicago Police Department. The sixth season will be exploring more politics and other external forces that impact the squad’s work, so perhaps Antonio’s vast range of experience will come in handy, too.
