What does Chicago PD season 6 have in store for Trudy Platt? Before the new Chicago PD season, look ahead for Amy Morton’s character.

Before Chicago PD season 6 begins on Sept. 26, we’re previewing the new season specifically for each main character. Where did they leave off last season, what ought to happen with them in the new season, and what is most likely going to happen next?

Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) is the desk sergeant at the 21st District, and pretty much an institution both in the building and for Chicago PD. It’s impossible to think of Platt not being there to hand out patrol assignments, snark at unsuspecting officers, and deliver important updates to her friends upstairs in the Intelligence Unit. She’s reliable, as well as always memorable because of who plays her.

She hasn’t changed that much since the character was introduced, so will the sixth season be one that shakes things up for the show’s most stable character? Will she stay the same and continue holding court at the District no matter what gets thrown at her? Or what could possibly be coming up for Trudy?
