Chicago Fire season 7 premiere synopsis and promo: A Closer Eye
Chicago Fire’s season premiere shakes up Firehouse 51. Find out what’s happening this week in the Chicago Fire season 7, episode 1 synopsis and teaser.
This week’s Chicago Fire season premiere features turnover at Firehouse 51 yet again, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo they’ve released.
Wednesday’s episode is called “A Closer Eye” and there’s been yet another personnel change in the firehouse. The main plotline of the episode is essentially saying goodbye to Gabriela Dawson (former series star Monica Raymund, who chose not to return this season) and hello to Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh, who was officially promoted to series regular next week).
How will Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) handle the absence of not only his wife, but also the firehouse’s Paramedic in Charge? Now that he’s the Captain, he has to concern himself with the inner workings of Firehouse 51, too. How will Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) take the news, since the last time she saw Dawson, Brett was essentially telling her to get a new partner?
Plus, if you thought all the office politics were done with after last season, you are very, very wrong. Someone else is moving into the firehouse, and it’s not someone that the audience is going to like. Yet again, things are going upside down and the crew will have to adjust to how things are now—while still fighting fires, of course!
