This week’s Chicago Med episode is the second part of this season’s first Chicago Crossover, and there’s a lot in store, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo they’ve released.
Wednesday’s episode is called “When To Let Go” and involves the hospital staff trying to treat the patients from the massive apartment building fire. Not unlike the previous one-night, three-hour crossover from two seasons ago, when the episode was about the doctors and nurses treating patients from a massive warehouse fire.
Among the injured are one of the main characters from Chicago Fire, and there’s a personal tie for one of Med‘s doctors as well. There’s always a personal connection that happens in every one of the Chicago Crossover events, and this one is no exception. Hopefully this one will turn out better than the tragic ending to the one before.

"In the second part of the three-show, one-night crossover event, the doctors and nurses of Chicago Med find themselves on high alert when an overflow of patients are rushed into the doors following a terrifying apartment complex blaze.Dr. Rhodes fights to save the life of one of Chicago Fire’s own, while Dr. Halstead and his brother Jay struggle with their own personal battle."
