Law and Order SVU season 20, episode 3 synopsis and promo: Zero Tolerance
What’s coming up in the next Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode? Find out what’s happening this week in the SVU season 20, episode 3 synopsis and teaser.
This week’s Law & Order: SVU episode settles the show in its new regular time slot, and it’s going to be a very interesting one, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo spot released for it.
After last week’s premiere was two hours long, Thursday’s installment is back to being one hour and airs in the Thursday 10 p.m. time slot the Dick Wolf series has taken over from Chicago Fire. It has another provocative storyline, though.
In “Zero Tolerance,” the plot picks up after another successful investigation, where the SVU squad has managed to rescue a young woman from the clutches of sex traffickers. But what happens to her now?
Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is determined to get the victim back to her family, regardless of what it takes, and she looks to Peter Stone (Philip Winchester) to help her make that happen. Let’s hope Peter has his stuff together after an absolutely disastrous start to SVU season 20 for his character.
But why can’t Benson get the girl back with her family in the first place? Certainly that should be the first thing on anyone’s list after making sure she’s safe. So what is this episode not telling us? You’ll find out Thursday.
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"After the rescue of a young girl from a sex trafficker, Benson and Stone must take drastic measures to reunite her with her mother. Meanwhile, Rollins decides to give her rocky relationship another chance."
