What’s coming up in the next Chicago Med episode? Find out what’s happening this week in the Chicago Med season 4, episode 3 synopsis and teaser.

This week’s Chicago Med episode centers on Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and gives him twice the challenges, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode.

Wednesday’s episode is called “Heavy Is The Head,” and Choi is part of not one but two of the stories that are in the installment. He leads the case of the week, where treating a young boy with an unspecified illness quickly becomes far more complicated than he expected.

What’s really going on? Could this be another one of those episodes where the hospital has some kind of outbreak or other major disease it doesn’t know about yet?

Then in another story, Choi and Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) become better acquainted with medical student Elsa Currie (recurring guest star Molly Bernard). Currie didn’t make a great impression when she was introduced in the Chicago Med season 4 premiere, and it doesn’t seem like she does any better this week.

Could Natalie or Choi possibly teach her a lesson in tact and how to work with patients? Or will she flummox them just as much as the audience?

Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:

"When a sick boy is brought in, Ethan is faced with a tough decision that quickly escalates into a complicated and dangerous situation. Connor and Maggie are put to the test, while Natalie and Ethan aren’t sure what to make of Elsa, the new third year medical student."
