The next Chicago Fire will see things boiling over inside of Firehouse 51, according to NBC‘s official description of this week’s episode and the promotional spot they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s installment is called “A Volatile Mixture,” which is pretty much an apt descrption for how things have been around the firehouse since the start of the season. But after four episodes of thinly-veiled contempt and subtle chess-playing, it seems like this is the one where the gloves will finally come off. And what effect will that have on everyone involved? Because nothing ever goes unnoticed in One Chicago.

The main aspect to watch for is Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) finally having had enough. What does that mean? Is he just going to give Jerry Gorsch (recurring guest star Steven Boyer) a piece of his mind again? Will he do something else to get in Gorsch’s way? Or is he going to make an even bolder move? If he does either of the last two, there will almost certainly be consequences—not just for him, but for the whole team.

Get ready for a throwdown on Wednesday, and hopefully it will involve Boden throwing Gorsch out of the building.
