The next Chicago PD is going to be great for Adam Ruzek fans, according to NBC‘s official synopsis for the episode and the teaser video that they’ve released before it airs tomorrow.

Wednesday’s episode is entitled “Fathers and Sons,” with Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) being the featured character. As One Chicago fans can guess from the title, this week’s case finds him at a crossroads when his father Bob (returning guest star Jack Coleman) turns up during the search.

Is Bob in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or is he somehow involved in the crime? That’s for his son to find out. And how will everyone else in the Intelligence Unit react to “Disco Bob” coming back for a second appearance?

Let’s just hope that things with Ruzek’s dad go smoother than they have in the past for other family members. We’re just a few episodes removed from Jay Halstead’s (Jesse Lee Soffer) being killed off, and Erin Lindsay’s (Sophia Bush) mother was always a troublemaker.

Perhaps Bob will break the unlucky streak. Or, given how his first episode went, maybe he won’t. At least Ruzek will finally have a storyline of his own.
