Familiar faces are headed to New York in the next Law & Order: SVU, according to NBC‘s official description of Thursday’s episode and the promotional video they’ve released for it.

Thursday’s installment is called “Caretaker” and it’s not a spoiler to say someone isn’t fitting that description; after all, the detectives of the Special Victims Unit need something to investigate! It is more notable for the impressive list of guest stars who are involved.

Another Chicago Justice reunion is in the works, as Gary Basaraba reprises his role as defense attorney Billy O’Boyle, the recurring rival of Peter Stone (Philip Winchester). Why has he come to New York? Plus, Sandrine Holt returns as psychiatrist Lisa Abernathy. And then original NCIS cast member Sasha Alexander is the week’s featured guest star.

Hopefully, all these people will have decent amounts of screen time, but how is SVU going to juggle all of them within the same storyline? That’s what Dick Wolf fans get to watch and find out, because this episode is worth watching for the cast alone.
