The next Chicago Med is going to have audiences biting their nails, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promotional video they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s episode is called “The Poison Inside Us” and that is not really metaphorical. The hospital is the scene of a first-class disaster when a dangerous substance is released, putting everybody inside in danger. Fans will have to worry not only about the doctors and nurses, but what about all the sick patients who already have enough health problems? This could be one of the biggest emergencies in the show’s history.

It’s all hands on deck for this terrible situation. Maybe that means new ED chief Dr. James Lanik (recurring guest star Nate Santana) will actually do something meaningful for once, instead of just trying to cover his behind with the board.

Or maybe it means somebody is going to have to go full-on action hero again and save the day. Has anybody paged Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell)? But he’s got another problem to worry about.

"The hospital is forced to evacuate when a toxic chemical is brought into the E.D., leaving patients and the staff in grave danger. Stuck in an elevator, Dr. Charles and Dr. Manning are forced to take drastic measures with a pregnant woman.Goodwin is tasked with making difficult choices and Dr. Rhodes discovers a secret that Dr. Bekker has been holding from him."
