Thursday’s episode “Mea Culpa” is directed by series star and producer Mariska Hargitay, and it focuses on the show’s newest character Peter Stone (Philip Winchester). Stone finds himself on the hot seat when he’s accused of a crime, which is terrible for him. He’s had a really bad season and this is going to make it a lot worse.

It may also be awkward for Benson (Hargitay), because this makes two people she knows who have been accused of crimes in the last two seasons—remember when Brian Cassidy (Dean Winters) was a murder suspect last year? But Cassidy got off the hook then, and maybe Stone is innocent, too.
