The Chicago PD midseason finale is not going to go well for a One Chicago favorite, according to NBC‘s official description and the promo that they’ve released for the episode.
Wednesday’s installment “Descent” is all about Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda), and not in any kind of good way. Fans know that Antonio has developed an addiction to pain medication after he injured his shoulder earlier in the season. This episode will finally tackle that issue head-on, though it’s no spoiler to say that it will come with terrible consequences for Antonio. It isn’t going to magically go away; in fact it’ll get worse.
How will Intelligence react when they find out he’s been hiding this problem from them for more than a few months? Who is his addiction going to put at risk (because there’s always someone in the line of fire)? And how far will Antonio go to straighten things out? This installment clearly is showing the dark side of Antonio Dawson, which will be dramatic but also trying for all the fans who love Antonio and will be seeing him in a new light.
