Joelle Carter guest stars on Dirty John tonight

One Chicago fans looking for something to watch this evening will want to flip over to Bravo, as former Chicago Justice star Joelle Carter is guest starring in the next episode of the network’s new series Dirty John.

The miniseries is based on the popular podcast of the same name, and dramatizes the true story of John Meehan (played by Eric Bana of Star Trek fame), who insinuated himself into the lives of several women and became their worst nightmare. If you haven’t seen the show yet, it’s truly a scary, wild ride and well worth your time.

Connie Britton (Nashville) recently earned a Golden Globe nomination for playing John’s current wife—and last victim—interior designer Debra Newell. So far, the previous episodes have begun to tell the story of how John Meehan became the man that Debra met, and reveal some of the many people he hurt in his past.

Tonight’s installment, “Lord High Executioner,” continues to explore his backstory. Joelle Carter has a prominent role as John’s sister, Denise Meehan-Stewart, who is ensnared in her brother’s web. A teaser for the episode is here, and Bravo has also released several photos which feature Joelle.

It’s her first major TV role since she portrayed hardened State’s Investigator Laura Nagel in the only season of Chicago Justice. She’s the only main cast member who hasn’t subsequently played their character again on another Dick Wolf series.
