Chicago Fire midseason premiere synopsis and promo: Inside These Walls

The Chicago Fire midseason premiere is going to resolve that fiery cliffhanger and then a few more things, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s installment is entitled “Inside These Walls,” which is an obvious reference to the fact that Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) is trapped inside the walls of his burning apartment. When he was last seen, One Chicago fans discovered that someone had set his place on fire as a way to get back at Casey’s new girlfriend Naomi Graham (returning guest star Kate Villanova).

This episode will answer if and how Naomi and Casey make it out of the blaze, and presumably it will deal with investigating the fallout, too. But that’s not all that’s happening this week; there’s a lighthearted subplot involving the paramedics, and Stellaride fans will also get some more details about the rocky situation with that couple.

Are Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) going to work out the issues in their relationship? Or will both of the show’s main heroes suffer losses when the show returns? The only way to find out is to watch and see.
