What’s happening in this week’s episode of Law and Order SVU? Find out about the next episode with the SVU season 20, episode 11 synopsis.

Law & Order: SVU returns to NBC this week, and the show’s midseason premiere is another case that mixes medicine with sex crimes. The network’s official description of the episode hints that it could be one of the season’s creepiest episodes yet.

Thursday’s installment is called “Plastic” because it focuses on a plastic surgeon, played by guest star Mark Feuerstein (whom TV fans will recognize for playing a much nicer doctor, Hank Lawson, on the USA comedy series Royal Pains). The doctor’s job may be to make women look better but he’s up to something nefarious outside of the operating table.

Aside from Feuerstein, this installment also guest stars Alyssa Sutherland, who played Aslaug in the History original series Vikings for that show’s first four seasons. The synopsis doesn’t let slip who she’s playing, but this is another episode that has some really great guest actors to help with the case of the week.

But it also has the potential to get incredibly cringe-inducing, when the show utilizes medicine (particularly plastic surgery) as part of its storyline. Anyone who’s watched Nip/Tuck or a few past episodes of the Law & Order franchise knows how doctor-related cases can get uncomfortable very quickly. “Plastic” has an excellent cast, but fans will have to see how dark the story gets.

Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:

"A woman accuses a celebrity plastic surgeon and his girlfriend of rape."

And while no promo had been released for this episode by the time we went to print, the network did post an extra deleted scene from the first half of the season on YouTube. Play the video below to see the latest complication in Rollins’ love life:
