The Chicago Med midseason finale features a highly anticipated return and a dangerous patient, and fans can see both thanks to the promotional photos NBC has made available for this week.

Wednesday’s episode “All The Lonely People” focuses on resolving the cliffhanger that the show left off on. Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) returns to the hospital after two months away, but it would be foolish to think things will be the same. There are several images of Will’s return and his reunion with fiancee Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto), who’s understandably emotional.

Meanwhile, another patient causes problems for the staff, so scroll down to see which member of the main cast is injured and take note of a guest appearance by Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) from Chicago PD.

Considering that the hospital already had a grieving widower unleash a deadly chemical in it, and two seasons ago a doctor was stabbed in the parking lot, plus it’s also blown up in the backdoor pilot, this is a really dangerous place to work! But certainly the Intelligence Unit will help restore normalcy and ensure that justice is done.
