The Chicago PD midseason finale has a cliffhanger to resolve, but it might make the problem worse, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo that they’ve released for the next episode.

Wednesday’s episode is called “Brotherhood,” but how much brotherhood is left within the team after an incredibly rocky first half of the season? That’s the big question as the installment picks up where the last episode left off, with Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) having pushed a drug dealer through a window to his death. Now Antonio has to rely on his colleagues to help him out of the situation.

Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) both have their reasons to be upset with Antonio, since he didn’t help with anything when Voight’s neck was on the line. But it would go against everything Intelligence stands for if they just left Antonio to his own devices.

So fans will have to watch and see how they wrangle their way out of the latest crisis, and if what they choose to do here has repercussions—either in this episode or in the rest of the season. The Chicago PD midseason premiere will be a nail-biter, that’s for sure.
