There may be a lot of drama happening at Chicago Med, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the photos NBC has released for this week’s episode.

Wednesday’s episode “Who Can You Trust” has several characters with important things going on in their lives, but the promotional photos make it look like business as usual at the hospital. That could be NBC not wanting to give away any major spoilers, but if you’re looking for clues to what’s happening next, you won’t find them here.

The most interesting image involves Dr. James Lanik (returning guest star Nate Santana) standing between Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta). Any time Lanik shows up isn’t a good thing, since Chicago Med fans know that he’s self-involved and puts the hospital ahead of patient care.

But if Chexton’s case is serious enough that he has to get involved, that’s even worse. How much trouble could they or their patient be in?

And how awkward is that conversation pictured between Dr. Ava Bekker (Norma Kuhling) and Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) after last week’s drama? Connor believes Ava, but they have to talk about his father’s behavior, don’t they?
