Chicago Med season 4, episode 11 recap: Who Can You Trust
Connor and Ava
Things were immediately flirty between Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Dr. Ava Bekker (Norma Kuhling), with quips about breaking in a new mattress. Connor was still sure that his father hadn’t slept with his girlfriend, as he and Ava were drafted to help a car accident victim brought into the ED.
Leslie was going to need a new liver, and when her sister found out, she was adamant that she would donate a part of her liver. But Leslie wanted nothing to do with Denise, telling Connor that Denise had killed her daughter Mary. Denise had fallen asleep while smoking marijuana, starting a fire that resulted in Mary’s death.

Now Leslie would rather die than get help from Denise. Connor asked the hospital to make a public appeal for another donor, and one was quickly found—which raised his suspicions. He looked the donor up in the computer and discovered it was Denise; Ava had put her in as anonymous donor, saying “the end justifies the means.” Was that applicable to a certain something else, too?
So Chicago Med skipped over a real ending to Leslie and Denise’s story, to circle back to Connor and Ava’s personal life. Connor confronted his father Cornelius (recurring guest star D.W. Moffett), but Chicago Med cut to black before dear old Dad said anything about what really happened that night. And that’s assuming fans can trust a word he says. Way to be a huge tease and not address your biggest problem, show.
