Law and Order SVU season 20, episode 12 live stream: Watch online
Law and Order SVU digs into Law and Order history this week. Here’s how to watch SVU season 20, episode 12 live, on TV and online.
The latest Law and Order SVU is a blast from the past, so find out how to watch SVU online or live this week, because fans of the NBC franchise will want to see what this episode pulls out of the history books.
Thursday’s installment is called “Dear Ben,” as in Ben Stone—the very first lead prosecutor in the entire franchise, played by Michael Moriarty during the first four seasons of the original show. He was later announced to be the father of Peter Stone (Philip Winchester), who’s the current lawyer working with the Special Victims Unit. Peter’s first SVU episode, in fact, revealed that Ben Stone had died.
Now, the writers are taking things one step further by using him in their next case of the week. Will that be a good idea or a bad idea? It’s tough to say, because it’s always thorny when a plot conjures up some connection to a character’s past, especially if that character is not around and therefore not able to actually be part of the story. But this one will be interesting, for sure.
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"Stone takes up the unsolved cold case of a serial rapist that consumed his father’s career."
