Stella, Brett and Foster

Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) started her day enjoying donuts in Ambulance 61. But when she tried to park the truck after the motorcycle crash call, she dented the ambulance, so she had to ask paramedics Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) and Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) for help repairing the damage before anyone else found out.

Meanwhile, Foster’s new love interest Dr. Shaw appeared at Firehouse 51 to ask her out for a few drinks, so Stella and Brett found out about that. Brett asked how it would affect her relationship with a woman she’d been seen with that morning; Foster responded by calling that “super-casual” and went out with Shaw that night.

The date ended with her inviting him back to her apartment, though they were already making out on the street outside the building. Hey, somebody on Chicago Fire had to get some love, what with the other couples having broken up.

The next day, the trio were still working on the ambulance, now with a hair dryer. And Brett was still wanting details about Foster’s relationship with Shaw; Emily didn’t sound enthused about a second go-around with the good doctor. It was no surprise when she turned down his invitation for another date.

But then Shaw started acting crazy. He showed up at Molly’s with another date, only to come over to Foster and tell her he wasn’t giving up yet. And because Chicago Fire was playing ominous music when he did, that’s probably the obsessive kind of not giving up.

At least they fixed Ambulance 61 after several failed attempts, though they came to realize that it wasn’t Stella who had caused the dent; it was one of the other people on another shift! All of their worry had been for nothing. Except for Foster now being worried about a psychotic ex.
